Christina Aguilera Remixes U.S. National Anthem – Super Bowl XLV

Only Christina Aguilera could mess up the lyrics to our national anthem yet do it so gracefully. It seemed as if no one in the audience of Super Bowl XLV even noticed her mishap.

The LA Times caught up With Aguilera after the event and this is what she had to say:

Aguilera, 30, apologized after the performance in a statement saying it was the pressure of worldwide audience that caused the gaffe. “I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” the former Mouseketeer wrote Sunday night. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”

    Ms.Christina –
Please learn the lyrics (seriously – just like you’d practice YOUR OWN) and perform the National Anthem, seriously and respectfully, at perhaps Walter Reed Hospital, then donate the fee that the superbowl paid you (or would have/should have paid you), or twice or more than that, to veterans and their famlies. Your mom/and or PR people should have suggested this to you. You sing this song at any sports competition as a tribute to those who ACTUALLY DO BATTLE. They actually DO BATTLE (compete) to preserve our rights to reap financial benefits for inept performances such as yours.
