Star Wars: The Old Republic Is Now Available For Pre-Order
If your half as big of a geek as i am, then you’ve probably been waiting for BioWare to release their new mmo “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” Well on Thursday the company announced that it has officially opened up pre-orders for the game. The game developer is letting gamers pre-order the standard, digital deluxe or a special collector’s edition of the gamethrough its website for early access to the game in addition to 30 days of game time. The collectors’ edition costs $149.99, the digital deluxe edition is $79.99, and the standard edition is $59.99. Those who pre-order the biggest package will also get a custom security authentication key and many more things, including seven digital items, a map of the Old Republic galaxy, a collectible box and a CD.
An investor report from the game’s developer, Electronic Arts, shows that the game will beopening a special “beta weekend” event so players can get a taste of what the game has in store. This is the perfect opportunity for players to start jumping in and playing in advance of the launch date, which would probably not be until after September.
