Paralyzed Lion Needs Your Help

Ariel, a 3 year-old, 310 pound lion, injured his spine while playing with balloons during his birthday party.  The Brazilian lion’s hind legs were affected affected by the surgery needed to remove the disc, a procedure that was necessary to alleviate the spinal cord compression.

The owners have tried Physical therapy, hydrotherapy, and acupuncture to help the young lion. Eliana Michaelichen Bezerra, who is a Brazilian television presenter and Ariel’s godmother, donated a hydro-treadmill to help in the treatment of Ariel. There is still urgent need for drugs, tests, and food, so Ariel’s owners and vets are asking for support. You can help Ariel by visiting their Facebook page or their Website.
