2012 Camry
Toyota renews cars every five years like clockwork. Its Camry model has indeed earned its reputation as the sedan of choice. It offers quite, comfortable, smooth, and reliable ride. It is also affordably priced. The new 7th generation, 2012 Toyota Camry, is designed to uphold the same virtues and at the same time offering more value and fuel efficiency.
Though it comes with dimensions identical to its predecessor, the 2012 Camry is entirely new. Undisputedly, its measurements are the same; however, the new model has a little carry-over.
The 2012Camry offers enhanced versions of previous models’ engines – a respectably powerful 268-horsepower 3.5 –liter V6, and 2.5 liter four –cylinder. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission, achieving 30 mpg on the highway while delivering better fuel economy.
The new Camry’s handling dynamics have been invigorated through suspension enhancements. The 2012 Camry comes in various trim levels such as L, SE, LE, and XLE. The L-trim level features cruise control, full-power accessories, air-conditioning, power-folding mirrors, 16-inch steel wheels, telescoping and tilt steering wheel, Bluetooth and six- speaker CD sound system.
The Camry LE comes with an additional headlamp, mounted steering wheel, Bluetooth controls, remote keyless entry, and six- speaker audio featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen display.
The Camry SE comes with sport-tuned suspension, sport seats, fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated exterior mirrors, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, unique exterior and interior style, and a Display Audio system. The SE V6 models come with the improved Display Audio system. It comes with added navigation, satellite radio, HD radio, voice recognition, and web and Entune smartphone integration.
Camry’s luxurious XLE comes with an additional heated exterior mirrors, sunroof, eight-way power driver seat, fog lamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Display Audio system with Entune navigation. The XLE V6 models come with a rearview camera, leather upholstery, heated front and driver seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an optional feature of a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system with touchscreen navigation system.
The 2012 Camry’s cabin is slightly spacious. Its thinner front pillar increases visibility while its slimmer door panels provide more room for elbows and knees. Moreover, the improvements on its interior materials are notable. The previous hard plastic has been replaced with complementary dash textures, subtle decorative stitching, and a handsome trim.
With its enhanced interior and exterior materials, lower prices, and higher mileage, the 2012 Camry ought to keep its sales crown.
