Multi Trip Winter Travel Ideas

Multi Trip Winter Travel Ideas

The world is full of what we need if we look for it, and as we approach the end of the year in Europe, not everyone is a fan of the coldertemperatures, the darker evenings, and the wetter streets.  This is a handy guide

that lays out some alternatives to a winter in UK or the EU.  Regardless to where in the world you travel, if it is an international destination the important three things to remember are:

-          Your passport and any visas are adequate

-           You have suitable multi trip holiday insurance

-          You have medically immunised yourself for your destination

The parts of the world that are listed here have a diverse range of holiday opportunities, an established reputation for tourist hospitality, and a reasonable price in travel costs if booked fairly early.

Caribbean

The Caribbean has already attained the reputation of being the place to go if in search of sun and sand.  Countries like Antigua offer some of the lushest greenery, the sweetest food, and the joyous attitude in the world at a time when a lot of other countries are concerned with keeping snuggled up indoors, or alternatively wrapped up chucking snow at each other.    With the Caribbean, one is slightly spoilt for choice! The flight prices are fairly reasonable considering the popularity and time of year.  As the countries are well versed in tourism, there is no end to the amount of activities to keep sun seekers occupied.

Africa

Southern Africa has a multitude of places, and unique experiences to get cooked by the sun and cultured by the local stories at the same time.  Western Africa offers so much heat and heaps of food and fun to fill any time of stay.  Northern Africa is a fair bit closer, a significant amount cheaper, and a substantial amount fairer offering sun, sea, and seductive hospitality.  Egypt is recommended as one of the top spots to trot, as these regions can be flooded with tourists during the summer months.  The winter months offer the benefits without the bustle, the tourism without the tussle, and the Egyptian Pyramid history, without the headache of hustle.

Alpines

Winter in Europe is associated with cold weather, chilled winds, and snow.  Yet the kind of snow abundance that is available when skiing is in a league of its own!  The Alps are the heralded royalty of the ski and snowboard kingdom.   Lots of people get to appreciate the fun side of snow by travelling up to where the fluffy stuff reigns and offers a wide range of opportunities for amusement and entertainment.  Resorts offer hospitality and services that cater for all, whether it is therapeutic soak in an outdoor hot bath, or a furious snowboarding rally through the pistes.

Australia

Getting tanned standing by the pool, barely clothed in red and white swimwear after you’ve just been served by the barbeque, which is cooking Christmas turkey, is not exactly the most traditional image people have of the festive season but it is standard for the residents of ‘Oz’.  Australia is so vast.  The city Sydney caters an urban bustle besides a laid back beach, whereas the Blue Mountains offer a majestic landscape containing a lavish jungle of nature and wildlife.  If comparing to wintertime in Europe, Australia offers the summer; meaning a holiday at this time of year offers the summer-season all year round.

USA

Besides the sales during the Thanks Giving season, the USA offers a winter wonderland that is quite unique.  Cute and cosy in a thick bed of snowy fluff, the yanks know how to do festivities in a big way.  It can be argued that no one quite does winter celebrations quite like the Americans.  The autumn spooky season kicks off a roster of individual warming celebrations of joy spread by many, remembrance, and appreciation of friends and loved ones, which all lead up to an inspiring Christmas, and a momentous New Year.

So as seen above, although people tend to focus on summer holidays the winter is a competitive time of the year to travel.  With a winter holiday like Australia, is there a need to go anywhere during the summer?  With the full on snow that is available on the Alps, doesn’t it make sense to experience the abundance of winter nature? With the celebrations of a state like New York, the only attitude to own during these colder months is one of love, joy, and inspiration.

Free online platforms like Matrix.itasoftware.com, which is also used for some Google search results, will give a good range of prices by various airlines to help budget your journey.   Book early to get a good price, travel agents have advised to ideally book at least six months to a year ahead. Or otherwise, you can try to take a fair gamble, and book relatively close to flying date, as there are a few gems in inexpensive seats, from last minute cancellations.
