Want To Be Successful? Wear The Right Watch!
The way you dress gives people instant information about you, whether you know it or not. Wear a splashy purple suit and people will get one impression of you; wear a tasteful, navy suit and you’ll give people a completely different impression. Your style is important and dressing for success, whether you’ve achieved it or not, will give the impression that you are, indeed, successful.
Dressing properly isn’t only about the pants you put on and the knot in your tie. Accessories can say a great deal about your status as well. The right wristwatch can both set-off your outfit and give people the impression that you’re a powerful person. Whether you are powerful will remain between you and the man in the mirror.
Here are five watches that scream success, from budget-friendly to outrageously expensive:
1. Timex
A tried and true classic, the Timex can give you a tastefully classic appearance. The T series, in particular, is a lovely watch, designed with both simplicity and functionality in mind. Prices range from $50 to just over a $100, ensuring that you won’t break the bank to look sharp. And don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone that you didn’t spend a lot of cash.
2. Diesel
Don’t bother searching for Diesel watches; these bad boys are called Timeframes. We especially love the DZ7193 for a successful, man-in-the-know look. The textured leather band with metallic closure and black face gives this watch a look that says “serious” when paired with a suit and “daring” when added to a T-shirt and jeans combo. At $295, we think it’s a bargain.
3. TAG Heuer
While, at first, it may be hard to spend your money with a company that uses Leonardo Di’Caprio as a spokes-model, try to get past your visions of “Titanic” and really look at the watches. The Carrera line is packed with impressive timepieces that are well worth the money you’ll shell out for them. At $2,975, the CV2A10.BA0796 is our favorite for the man on his way up the corporate ladder; or even the guy who’s on the bottom rung.
4. Rolex
While virtually any Rolex will give you a touch of class, simply by wearing the brand name on your wrist, we can’t help but be impressed with the Time and Gems collection, in particular, the Black Coated DLC/PVD Black Sapphire Bezel Green Milguass version. With a retail tag of $18,000 the price is nothing to scoff at. However, the blacked out watch makes an incredible statement and, after all, you’re worth it.
5. Cartier
Whether you’ve made it big or won the mega-millions, a Cartier is a virtual “must-have”. The Black Coated DLC/PVD Pave Diamond Santos 100 Extra Large is our watch of choice in the outrageously expensive category. At $38,800, you’ll need a good deal of disposable income to afford this piece of luxury. 550 black diamond’s frame the face of this watch but, surprisingly, do not make it look obnoxious in the slightest. Instead, the diamonds lend an elegant feel to an old-fashioned looking timepiece with a modern edge.
Being successful begins with looking like you’re successful. You’ve got no hope of being taken seriously with that old Mickey Mouse watch on your wrist. Whether you’re on a tight budget or have money to burn, there’s a watch out there that will have you putting your best wrist forward.
