Japan’s Best Pitcher Yu Darvish signs $60 Million Deal with Texas Rangers
With over $111 Million invested into the stand out pitcher from Japan, the Texas Rangers are probably excited and relieved to know that the Japaneses superstar pitcher will be signed with them for the next 6 years. Yu Darvish held an impressive 93-38 wins to losses record and a minor 1.99 ERA (Earned run Average) while pitching in Japan. Hopefully he will play as well in the U.S. as he did in Japan, or else the Rangers just lost a ton of money (not that they care).
Yu Darvish is only 25 years old, but has already received two MVP awards in Japan’s Pacific League and has made 5 all-Star appearances. He led the league in strikeouts three times over his 7-year stint in Japan in addition to being able to go the distance and pitch many innings per game consistently.
Overall Yu Darvish is one of the most talented pitchers we have seen in the game of baseball today and it will be good this upcoming season to see him wearing a Texas rangers’ jersey.
We wish both the Rangers and Yu Darvish the very best and hope that the next six years of professional baseball can be as prosperous as the last six years.
Signed, Rick Jeffries
