During a recent stop at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, Obama couldn’t help but belt out a legendary soul hit on the stage. Once the President found out legendary soul artist Al Green was in the audience, he went into his short rendition of Green’s classic hit “Let’s Stay Together.”
“I…I’m so in love with you,” sang Obama, while the crowd roared and cheered him on.
The laughs didn’t stop there, as Obama pointed to some members of his staff standing backstage and said ”those guys didn’t think I would do it. I told you I was gonna do it.” Obama then went on to say, “Don’t worry Rev, I cannot sing like you, but I just wanted to show my appreciation.” Definitely a light hearted moment from a president who has been doing his best to turn this country to the prosperous it once was.
