Race Election

It’s no surprise that race would be an issue in the upcoming election. With songs like “My President is Black” it makes you wonder who is voting based on race over the beliefs of the candidate.

Recently, actress Stacey Dash proclaimed her support for candidate Mitt Romney on twitter stating he was the best choice. This received a lot of shock and backlash. Many attacking her with racial comments over her Republican beliefs despite the fact that she is an African American.

How much will race impact this election? The percentage increased to 55% of African Americans between 18-24 participating in the 2008 election from the 8% in 2004! However, polls have shown that the African American support of President Obama has gone down since being elected. What will the polls show on November 6th?
