Georgia State University  (GSU) is going to be purchasing the historical Equitable building in downtown Atlanta.  The equitable building is 33 stories tall and would provide more than enough space for expansion for GSU.  In addition H. Fenwick Huss, the Robinson School of Business dean, also wrote the university is “actively pursuing private funding to help finance a planned 250,000-square-foot academic building for the business school near Park Place and John Wesley Dobbs Avenue.”  2011 will definitely be a great expansionary year for the University and its faculty and students alike will benefit from this acquisition.  As a current GSU student I believe these advancements in the campus will help create a true university feel as opposed to the current perception of GSU as a commuter school.
