Tiger Woods Wins Chevron World Challenge
After a two year drought, Tiger Woods has finally won a tournament. The former number 1 golfer in the world won at the Chevron World Challenge, his first win after 26 tournaments. When asked how the wins felt after the game Tiger said “It feels great, it’s kind of hard for me to elaborate beyond that.” This is also Wood’s first win after that fateful night in November that cost Tiger his marriage, reputation, and a number of sponsors with very deep pockets. To win the tournament, Tiger had to sink a six foot putt that was straight downhill, and he did so in classic Tiger form.
Woods went on to say “”They all feel good, you know. They’re not easy. People don’t realize how hard it is to win golf tournaments. I’ve gone on streaks where I’ve won golf tournaments in a row, but still, each one, I don’t think I’ve taken it for granted.” Many people believe Tiger has been distract by his divorce and the lack of golf he’s been playing, but he seems to be putting it all together now and getting back into the stride that made him a champion.
