The Cocos Island National Park is a jungle covered island located on the coast of Costa Rica. In order to get to experience this island up close you must either get granted permission by an island ranger or take a dive trip. A dive trip consists of a week and a half boat trip that goes out to the island and back. The two dive trip boats are called Okeanos Aggressor and the Undersea Hunter!
If you wish to go on the island with the permission of an island ranger, you can hike up to the top on foot or with the use of a bicycle. These hiking trips allow you to get the natural feel for the island and experience all of the surrounding animals company! There is also an opportunity for scuba-diving with hammerhead sharks. This may sound a little scary but the Cocos Island rangers assure you that they will play nice!
