PayPal, which has been a leader in online payments and shopping, has now rolled out marketing for its in-store payment system. There are currently 15 retailers who have embraced the system in their stores and will soon be available for consumer to take advantage of. For those with a PayPal account, purchasing goods in many of these stores will be much easier and can been done through the company’s app.
PayPal is not the first of its kind to make this sort of transition. Google Wallet paved the way last year for more companies to try as well. So is this something that consumers are really waiting for? Only time will tell if PayPal’s efforts will be well received.
