North Korea Continues Threats Of Nuclear Attack On US

North Korea has continued its threats towards the United States and vows to launch a first-strike nuclear attack against America despite efforts from the U.N Security Council. North Korea threatens to engulf the U.S in a “sea of fire”.

An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyan’s Foreign minister confirmed that North Korea will be exercising its right for “a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors”, stating that Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against North Korea.

Army General Kang Pyo Yong rallied a crowd telling them that North Korea is ready to fire a long range nuclear armed missile at Washington. “Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status,” he told the crowd. “When we shell, Washington, which is the stronghold of evils …will be engulfed in a sea of fire.”

The United States is working with South Korea to ensure it is prepared for any nuclear threat. Senator Robert Menedez said the statements from Kang were the “absurd” threat of a nuclear strike on the United States would be a tantamount to suicide. US Ambassador Susan Rice stated that North Korea will “achieve nothing” with threats.

The UN Security Council has intervened by slapping sanctions on North Korea, but the nation only sees the interaction as an advance timing to fulfill their vows. North Korea demanded the UN to immediately dismantle the American-led command that is based in Seoul and move to end the state of war that exists on the Korean Peninsula. They aim to cease threats once the resolutions have been adopted.
