A children’s center in Sao Paulo has teamed up with the Justice League to inspire the young cancer patients to fight their illness. Known for taking on some of the most dangerous villains, Superman, Wonderwoman, Batman and the rest of the Justice League take on cancer.
The AC Camargo Cancer Center has teamed up with a global ad agency, JWT to transform its children’s ward into a home fit for a superhero. The ward comes complete with a “Hall of Justice” game room and superhero-themed decorations, and even decked out the intravenous chemotherapy bags, now known as the “Superformula”.
“The first step in the fight against caner is believing in the cure,” wrote JWT on their website. “But the chemotherapy treatment is difficult, especially for a child. To help them believe, we worked ..to create an idea capable of changing their negative perception of treatment.”
JWT has also partnered with Warner Bros to produce a line of comic books featuring the “Superformula” and the Justice League battling to overcome the illness. “I think the children are now going to understand how this treatment can give them a magic power, through this ‘Superformula,” said Yelma Jacob, a nurse at the hospital in a video for JWT.
