YMCMB is a historical musical entity about much more than it
Whether you are looking back at the history of YMCMB, Lil Wayne, or Birdman or the brand it has been around way longer than when it was “initially founded”. People are looking at YMCMB the new entity that started in 2005 but it really traces back to Cash Money Records which was around in 1991 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash_Money_Records ).
WIKIPEDIA lists it current roster as:
- Lil Wayne
- Mack Maine
- Nicki Minaj
- Gudda Gudda
- Jae Millz
- Lil Chuckee
- Lil Twist
- Short Dawg
- Cory Gunz
- Torion Sellers
- Kevin Gates
- Christina Milian
The point of this article was to make sure the masses understand that the real YMCMB is really Cash Money, an enterprise that Baby himself has built over 20+ years. The success that these artists have today is built off of strategies that Bryan Williams aka BABY came up with and utilized way back in time. Back then they were doing some of the very first real hip hop music videos and featured Yachts, Balling Cars, Mansions, and more in their videos. Of course there was Jay Z and other artists also on the scene making some grandiose music videos but there were many things that Baby pioneered. Baby was the one who found Lil Wayne and further he was also the one who helped grow him and his career so he could be where he is today. Lil Wayne even calls him his father. Lil Wayne was the one who came up with the word “Bling” back in the day from “Bling Bling” and it was always the creativity of the pair that kept the duo making moves and staying under the radar for so many years.
