Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann Says Occupy Protesters Were Disrespectful

GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has some choice words for the Occupy activists who interrupted her foreign policy speech aboard the USS Yorktown. During her speech a small number of activists stood up and started shouting statements like “You cater to the 1%” on Thursday as Bachmann began a speech criticizing President Obama on how he has handled Iraq and Iran. As they were escorted off the aircraft carrier, they chanted the Occupy movement’s slogan, “We are the 99%.” Bachmann called the protesters “ignorant and disrespectful,” and went on to say that they don’t know the “heavy price that was paid for that First Amendment right.”
