MTV’s This Is How I Made It features the crew tagging along with Meek MIll as he discusses his upbringing and battling days before signing with MMG.
The rapper, shares his journey from a jail cell to the studio. “I was 18, I just turned an adult when I went to jail,” he added,”I caught a case and had 57 charges ..All I did was walk outside with a gun.”His stint in jail helped the rapper to realize that he needed to make a change in his life.He dedicated his time to music and making in into the rap game. “I really put my life into rapping,” said the Philadelphia rapper, ” I started putting up six songs a day for three months straight.” Needless to say, his hard work paid off. Mill landed a deal with MMG and made records when his mixtape Dreamchasers 2 hit a million downloads in the first week. He has solidified his name as a rap star with the debut of his first studio album Dreams and Nightmares.
